My introduction to Maine was spending a week at a friend's family cottage overlooking Pemaquid Harbor, surveying the comings and goings of sailboats and lobstermen as we sat on the deck, listening to seagull cries and the lap of the tide on the beach. I returned the next year to continue photographing fields of blue, purple, pink and white lupine, Pemaquid Light, shacks hung with bouys, and vivid sunsets at Acadia National Park, longing to enjoy the beauty of dark, starry skies, rustling pines, and winding country roads year round. Now that Maine is my home, I keep discovering more gorgeous landscapes I want to share, from the pier at Old Orchard Beach, to Portland Head Light, Nubble Light, Marshall Point, and Popham Beach to the reflections of fall foliage in Moosehead Lake and nearly countless other lakes and ponds.
